The HIP Community

Like Prospero HIP will have the dual aims of artistic excellence and social inclusion.

HIP strands for Health in Performance. Each group will have a Prospero session on building emotional health for performers and performance, bespoke to the needs of each group.

We will build a HIP Community that will measurably improve the social networks of participants across the groups and from the workshop sessions.

Each group will have the others as sounding boards in order to further artistic ambition and innovation. Through the visits practitioners and members alike will be encouraged to extend their creative practice.

All companies will use the HIP 'set' comprising netted flats and 3 large perspex boxes that can be lit from inside any colour and moved to any position.

Participants and Partners:

Prospero Theatre, Make-a-Scene, The Orpheus Centre, Freewheelers, Sunnydown School, Amareece and Philomena Dance Companies, Head-2-Head Sensory Theatre, The Arc, The Westway Centre, Townend Social Club, Godstone Farm
